We are delighted to announce that our storage location Shurgard City Airport has recently won the Major Operator Facility of the Year Award 2020 – an award we won for the 4th year in a row.
The award recognises self-storage facilities that excel, not only in appearance, but in performance as well. After all, it’s not just about good looks!
The facility has won this award for its major redevelopment works – we doubled its size – its modern design and high visibility. And during the construction process, we implemented eco-friendly techniques such as solar panels – one of cleanest, renewable energy sources available.
We also collaborated with local homeless shelters and donated sleeping bags, sock, hats and roll matts to those most needed over the Christmas period.
And let’s not forget to mention our City Airport store team. They responded brilliantly to these major works!
During the entire redevelopment process, keeping our customers safe and happy was their primary concern. At all times, our customers were able to get access their storage unit easily and our staff remained on site in a temporary office space to help our customers with any enquiry.
Their dedicated work and great team spirit helped us to complete one of our largest and most challenging redevelopments.
