I rented a storage unit from Shurgard Cologne for €400/month (€50 for the first month). After a single late payment (I was on vacation for two days), I began receiving incessant calls – up to 30 per day, constantly changing numbers, over 500 calls in one month, WhatsApp messages, and emails every minute. This wasn't a reminder – it was systematic, psychological pressure.

An employee at the Cologne-Lövenich branch literally told me: "This won't stop until you pay" – without any insight.

In my opinion, this behavior clearly crosses the line into targeted coercion and constitutes an aggressive business practice, which I am having legally investigated. I have filed complaints with the Federal Network Agency and the Data Protection Authority.

I can only strongly warn: Anyone who signs a contract here should be aware of how ruthlessly this company treats customers when it comes to money – even with small outstanding payments. I can no longer tolerate this.

Das war keine Erinnerung – das war systematischer, psychischer Druck.

Ein Mitarbeiter in der Filiale Köln-Lövenich sagte mir wörtlich: „Das hört erst auf, wenn Sie zahlen.“ – ohne jede Einsicht.

Dieses Verhalten überschreitet meiner Meinung nach deutlich die Grenze zur gezielten Nötigung und stellt eine aggressive Geschäftspraxis dar, die ich rechtlich prüfen lasse. Ich habe Beschwerden bei der Bundesnetzagentur und der Datenschutzbehörde eingereicht.

Ich kann nur dringend warnen: Wer hier einen Vertrag unterschreibt, sollte sich darüber im Klaren sein, wie rücksichtslos dieses Unternehmen mit Kund:innen umgeht, wenn es um Geld geht – selbst bei kleineren Rückständen. Für mich absolut nicht mehr tragbar.
