- Increase the energy performance of our buildings;
- Use resources sustainably and look for alternative sustainable materials;
- Reduce landfill contribution by encouraging waste reduction through re-use and recycling.

Working together to make a difference
As a Shurgard customer, you already help making a difference. Simply by storing your belongings instead of buying new, you protect the planet’s natural resources and reduce landfill contributions.
When you are at a Shurgard location, there are a few small things you can do to further protect our environment:
- Go paperless by opting for digital invoice;
- Close the door after yourself to keep the heat in;
- Switch off your vehicle’s engine while loading and unloading;
- Turn off the taps in the toilets;
- Use sustainable packing material, such as paper or fabric, where possible;
- Take items you don’t need to the nearest recycling centre;
- Remove and sort waste so it is treated properly; and
- Upcycle your belongings.
