What kind of lock fits a Shurgard storage unit?

Depending on the storage unit, you will need one of the following types of locks:

• Cylinder lock (comes with 3 keys, priced at 149 kr)
• Code lock (priced at 249 kr)

All of these locks are durable, highly secure, and perfectly fit your storage unit.

How to purchase a lock

• Online Rental: If you rent your storage unit online, we will include the appropriate lock with your order to ensure your unit is properly secured.
• In-Person Rental: If you rent your storage unit at a Shurgard location, our store manager will recommend the right lock for your unit, which you can purchase on-site.

What if I already have the right lock?

• Online Rental: If you already have a compatible lock when you rent your unit online, you can return the sealed lock to the store manager for a refund.
• In-Person Rental: If you rent your unit in person, bring your lock with you. The store manager will check if it is suitable for your storage unit.

Keep your lock for future use

When you vacate your storage unit, make sure to remove and keep your lock. It belongs to you, so you can reuse it the next time you rent a storage unit at Shurgard.
