Getting advice on your unit’s size

If you need help deciding what size or type of unit would be best for you, you can:

  • use our handy storage size calculator, or
  • contact one of our storage advisers on our free number: 80-71 80 27, or
  • come into one of our locations and talk to the manager.

As experts in storage and with knowledge of all our locations and prices, they’ll be able to:

  • talk to you about what you need
  • suggest best-value solutions
  • tell you about any special offers and deals

Types of unit

Our different types of unit have different features, levels of accessibility and prices. Choose a unit type that suits you.

  • If you want to drive a vehicle directly to the door of your unit – making loading and unloading easy – choose direct access storage. You pay for the convenience as these units are more expensive.
  • If you don’t want the bother of putting your things in a lift – perhaps they’re heavy or cumbersome – choose ground floor access storage.
  • Alternatively, if you don’t mind using the lift, choose upstairs storage accessed via lift. These are slightly cheaper units and ideal if you don’t need to store heavy or large items.
  • If you’re looking for a cheaper unit and don’t mind it being an irregular shape, perhaps with a sloping roof, choose a value unit.

Ventilated storage

If you’re storing fabrics, files or equipment, you may want a unit that’s ventilated.

Some of our units come with the option of ventilation. All you have to do is upgrade to a ventilation option when you reserve your unit.

Changing your unit

You may find you need more or less space than you originally thought. Perhaps your business is growing and you have extra stock to store. Or maybe you want to gradually move things into your new home and so would prefer a smaller unit.

You can change your unit at any time for free – either after you’ve reserved it or even after you’ve moved in.
