Shurgard Haarlem is on the edge of the Waarderpolder, Haarlem's largest business park. The building looks out over the Spaarne river and immediately catches the eye when you're driving along the river on Spaarndamseweg.
Are you coming in from the direction of Amsterdam, instead of North Haarlem or the city centre? From the A200 motorway, take the exit by IKEA. Take Oudeweg and Waarderweg and you will be at our Haarlem store within just a few minutes. We are located directly next to the Waarderbrug.

Inside, you can park your vehicle close to our spacious goods lifts. Using one of the trolleys or hand trucks, you can quickly bring your belongings to the correct floor. No lugging up the stairs!

You can access the Shurgard Haarlem facility from 6.00 to 23.00 with your personal access code. This code gives you access to the floor on which your storage unit is located, but nowhere else; this allows us to protect your storage.

No, unlike other self-storage providers, Shurgard never asks for a deposit when you rent a storage unit with us.

Below are the only extra costs you may need to pay:
- One-off admin fee of € 20: this amount is only applicable when you sign your first contract with us. Returning customers don't need to pay this fee.
- Insurance: for your own peace of mind and protection, insurance for your stored goods is required. Your coverage depends on the size of your unit, with premiums starting from € 16 per month. If you need higher coverage, you can arrange supplementary insurance separately with a reputable insurer.
- Lock: to guarantee no one else can access your storage unit, you will need to buy a lock designed to fit a Shurgard storage unit at € 14,90. You can re-use this lock when you rent another storage unit at any Shurgard facility.

With units on the ground floor, you don’t have to use a lift to transport your belongings from your vehicle to your storage unit. This is especially convenient if you need to frequently store heavy or bulky items.

You can rent your storage unit for an initial period of one month. After this period, your contract will automatically be renewed on a monthly basis.

Upstairs storage units are often cheaper than those on the ground floor of the same size, so choose these if you don’t have a lot of bulky or heavy stuff to store, or if you don’t have to frequently move stuff in and out of your unit. At Shurgard you can still conveniently access your upstairs storage unit with the help of our spacious lifts and trolleys.
